Born in Chicago, Illinois on October 27, 1968, Liberty stands 6-8 and weighs 205 lbs. He attended high school at Martin Luther King in Chicago, Illinois and college at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the 2nd round (15th pick, 42nd overall) of the 1990 NBA draft.
