Marcel Pronovost is a former professional ice hockey player who comes from Quebec, Canada. He played as part of the defense for a few National Hockey League teams. He played for the Detroit Red Wings during the 1950s and was part of the team’s success in the Stanley Cup. He made significant contributions for the Wings to bag not just one, but four Stanley Cup Championships. He appeared in the 1950, 1952 and 1954 Stanley Cups as well as in the 1955 winning performance of the Red Wings. In his entire career, he logged a total of five Stanley Cups championships. His fifth win in the said cup came in 1957 as part of the team Toronto Maple Leafs.
Because of his superb performances as a defenseman, he was named to two First All-Star Team defense, one in 1960 and the other in 1961. He also had the chance to belong to an All-Star second team in 1958 and 1959. After he retired from professional hockey, he was named to the Hockey Hall of Fame for his amazing records and notable achievements in the league. He worked as a scout for the New Jersey Devils.

Marcel Pronovost (full name: Marcel Pronovost; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1951 until 1970 for the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs. He played for the Red Wings from 1951 - 1965 and Leafs from 1966 - 1970. Over 20 seasons, he played 1206 games, scored 88 goals, and made 257 assists. Born in Lac-de-Tortue, Quebec on June 15, 1930, Pronovost stands 6-0 and weighs 190 lbs. He was inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame as Player in 1978.
