Playing as a centre right wing in the National Hockey League, Marc Chouinard was born in Charlesbourg of Quebec, Canada. He debuted in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before being selected into the 1995 NHL Draft by the Winnipeg Jets. But he never got to play with the Winnipeg Jets because he was moved to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim together with Teemu Selanne where he debuted in the hockey leagues in the 2000-2001 NHL season. Within those five years, he played with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, an affiliate of the American Hockey League. In 2003 he signed with the Minnesota Wild as an unrestricted free agent as well as with the Vancouver Canucks in 2006.
