Manon Rheaume is a professional hockey player who hails from Quebec. She started his National Hockey League appearances when she entered as deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning. She appeared in the minor league and has logged 24 games from 1992 to 1997 season. Aside from her National Hockey League career, she also played in the Olympics, having represented the team Canada in the 1998 Olympics in Nagano. In the mentioned game, she bagged the silver medal. She also played for the country in the World Hockey Championships where she made great contributions for their team to win the Gold Medal. She played as a goaltender for her teams and is known to be the first woman hockey player to appear in an exhibition game in the National Hockey League.
Rheaume also played in the International Hockey League. She worked as the Minnesota Duluth’s goaltending coach from the 199 season until the 2000 season. The Port Huron Icehawks also considered her to be part of their training camp. Martin Rheaume, her brother, is also a player in the National Hockey League. Most recently, she played in the Western Women’s Hockey League team, the Minnesota Whitecaps.
