Manny Fernandez is a professional hockey player and is playing for the National Hockey League. He is currently a free agent and is a goaltender for the Boston Bruins. He was born in Ontario on August 24, 1974.
He started his professional career in hockey after he was selected by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. However, he was not able to play in the NHL for the Nordiques. In 1994, Fernandez was traded to the Dallas Stars.
Fernandez stayed on with the Stars until 2000 when he was traded to the Minnesota Wild for Brad Lukowich.
Fernandez worked alongside Dwayne Roloson during his stint with the Wild. In the 2002-03 NHL season, the Wild was able to go all the way to the NHL Conference final, a first, but lost to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.
In 2007, Fernandez was traded to the Boston Bruins and shared goaltending duties with Tim Thomas during the 2008-09 NHL season. The pair was able to receive the William M. Jennings Trophy for their performance.

Born in Etobicoke, Ontario on August 27, 1974, Fernandez stands 6-0 and weighs 207 lbs. He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 3rd round (52nd overall) of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.
