Lynn McGlothen (full name: Lynn Everett McGlothen; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1972 until 1982 for the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees. He played for the Red Sox from 1972 - 1973, Cardinals from 1974 - 1976, Giants from 1977 - 1978, Cubs from 1978 - 1981, White Sox in 1981 and Yankees in 1982. Over 11 seasons, he started 201 games, won 86 games, struck out 939 batters, and had a 3.98 ERA. Born on March 27, 1950 in Monroe, LA, McGlothen stood 6' 2" and weighed 185 lb. He attended Simsboro (Grambling, LA) high school and was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 3rd round of the 1968 amateur draft.
