Luke Hamlin (full name: Lewis Dennison Hamlin; Hot Potato) played pitcher from 1933 until 1944 for the Detroit Tigers, Brooklyn Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Athletics. He played for the Tigers from 1933 - 1934, Dodgers from 1937 - 1941, Pirates in 1942 and Athletics in 1944. Over 9 seasons, he started 181 games, won 73 games, struck out 563 batters, and had a 3.77 ERA. Born on July 3, 1904 in Ferris Center, MI (All Transactions), Hamlin stood 6' 2" and weighed 168 lb.
