Lu Blue (full name: Luzerne Atwell Blue; no nicknames) played first baseman from 1931 until 1933 for the Chicago White Sox and Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the White Sox from 1931 - 1932 and Dodgers in 1933. Over 13 seasons, he played 1615 games, hit 44 home runs, drove in 1151 runs, and stole 151 bases. Born on March 5, 1897 in Washington, DC, Blue stood 5' 10" and weighed 165 lb. He attended Hall Military (Blairly, MD) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 14, 1921 and he played his final game on April 25, 1933. Common misspellings of his name include Luzerne Atwell Lu Blue.
