Lou Sleater (full name: Louis Mortimer Sleater; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1950 until 1958 for the St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators, Kansas City Athletics, Milwaukee Braves, Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles. He played for the Browns from 1950 - 1952, Senators in 1952, Athletics in 1955, Braves in 1956, Tigers from 1957 - 1958 and Orioles in 1958. Over 7 seasons, he started 21 games, won 12 games, struck out 152 batters, and had a 4.70 ERA. Born on September 8, 1926 in St. Louis, MO, Sleater stands 5' 10" and weighs 185 lb. He attended Mount St. Joseph's (Baltimore, MD) high school. His debut was on April 25, 1950 and he played his final game on September 28, 1958.
