Born on July 11, 1944 in Greensboro, North Carolina, Louis Clyde Hudson was a National Basketball Association player who played high school basketball at Dudley High School. He played college basketball at University of Minnesota and after an impressive career in college; he was picked by the St. Louis Hawks in the 1996 NBA Draft as 4th pick.
Hudson was selected for the National Basketball Association All-Rookie Team. In his rookie season, he made a PPG average of 18.4 points. Listed at 6 ft. 5 in., he served as a forward but also plays as a guard. Hudson had a lengthy NBA career making 17, 940 points. He spent thirteen seasons and as named to the All-Star team six times while playing for the St. Louis Hawks. Nicknamed “Sweet Lou”, he also played for the Atlanta Hawks and the Los Angeles Lakers. He worked as an Atlanta Hawks radio announcer after retiring in the league. He went to real estate business in 1984. Because of having a stroke in 2005, he now advocates the “Power to End Stroke” organization.

Hudson also dished out 2432 assists (2.7 apg), made 516 steals (0.6 spg), and blocked 98 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina on July 11, 1944, Hudson stands 6-5 and weighs 210 lbs. He attended high school at Dudley Senior in Greensboro, North Carolina and college at University of Minnesota. He was drafted by the St. Louis Hawks in the 1st round (4th pick, 4th overall) of the 1966 NBA draft.
