Lou Finney (full name: Louis Klopsche Finney; no nicknames) played outfielder and first baseman from 1931 until 1947 for the Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the Athletics from 1931 - 1939, Red Sox from 1939 - 1945, Browns from 1945 - 1946 and Phillies in 1947. Over 15 seasons, he played 1270 games, hit 31 home runs, drove in 643 runs, and stole 39 bases. Born on August 13, 1910 in Buffalo, AL, Finney stood 6' 0" and weighed 180 lb. He attended Five Points (Five Points, AL) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on September 12, 1931 and he played his final game on May 8, 1947.
