An American former player in Major League Baseball, Lou Brock was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, on June 18, 1939.
He played at the A and M College and Southern University as a college football player in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1961, he signed as an amateur free agent with the Cubs and broke into the majors. In 1967, he had able to steal 50 bases and on the same season, he hit 20 home runs that made him the first player to earn it. As a left fielder, he played with the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals in his baseball career.
Into the St. Louis Walk of Fame, he was inducted. He was named the 1967 National League Babe Ruth award and had able to climbed up the ladder of his accomplishments, when he won the Major League Player of the Year in 1974, he also received the 1975 Roberto Clemente Award, the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award in 1977 and the Hutch Award of 1979 making the Lou Brock autographed HOF baseball a significant item. In 1985, Brock was inaugurated into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He then ranked as the number 58 in the 100 Greatest Baseball players in 1999 in the Sporting News eventually made the Lou Brock autographed HOF baseball a cool item to collect.
