Lonnie Shelton (full name: Lonnie Jewel Shelton; no nicknames) played Forward-Center from 1977 until 1986 for the New York Knickerbockers, Seattle Supersonics and Cleveland Cavaliers. Over 10 seasons, he played 673 games, scored 8049 points (12.0 ppg) and grabbed 4136 rebounds (6.1 rpg). Shelton also dished out 1459 assists (2.2 apg), made 739 steals (1.1 spg), and blocked 559 shots (0.8 bpg) during his career. Born in Bakersfield, California on October 19, 1955, Shelton stands 6-8 and weighs 240 lbs. He attended high school at Foothill in Bakersfield, California and college at Oregon State University. He was drafted by the New York Knickerbockers in the 2nd round (8th pick, 25th overall) of the 1976 NBA draft.
