Lon Warneke (full name: Lonnie Warneke; The Arkansas Hummingbird) played pitcher from 1932 until 1945 for the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Cubs from 1932 - 1945 and Cardinals from 1937 - 1942. Over 15 seasons, he started 343 games, won 192 games, struck out 1140 batters, and had a 3.18 ERA. Born on March 28, 1909 in Mount Ida, AR (All Transactions), Warneke stood 6' 2" and weighed 185 lb. He attended high school.
