Lloyd Brown (full name: Lloyd Andrew Brown; Gimpy) played pitcher from 1931 until 1940 for the Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the Senators from 1931 - 1932, Red Sox in 1933, Browns in 1933, Indians from 1934 - 1937 and Phillies in 1940. Over 12 seasons, he started 181 games, won 91 games, struck out 510 batters, and had a 4.20 ERA. Born on December 25, 1904 in Beeville, TX (All Transactions), Brown stood 5' 9" and weighed 170 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on July 17, 1925 and he played his final game on August 10, 1940. Common misspellings of his name include Lloyd Andrew Gimpy little Lloyd Brown.
