Les Moss (full name: John Lester Moss; no nicknames) played catcher from 1946 until 1958 for the St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox. He played for the Browns from 1946 - 1953, Red Sox in 1951, Orioles from 1954 - 1955 and White Sox from 1955 - 1958. Over 13 seasons, he played 824 games, hit 63 home runs, drove in 210 runs, and stole 1 bases. Born on May 14, 1925 in Tulsa, OK, Moss stands 5' 11" and weighs 205 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 10, 1946 and he played his final game on September 1, 1958. Common misspellings of his name include John Les Lester Moss.
