Leroy Walker is a former American professional Lightweight boxer. He hails from Miami, Florida. On June 20, 1972, Leroy Walker began his professional boxing career at the Miami Marine Stadium on Key Biscayne in Miami-Dade County, Florida, where he defeated Joe Lacca over four rounds. According to several sports review, Walker was an efficient boxer during his prime. He was known for utilizing the entire ring to his advantage. He was very difficult to hit and depend on his boxing skills. Walker also fought tough boxer and Golden Glove Award winner Ricky Samaratana for three times with two of which Walker emerged victorious
On April 2, 1974, Walker lost an eight round decision to veteran Isaac Ike Hooks at Miami Beach. Walker's most impressive victory came when he outmatched a much more veteran Joe Cartwright over eight rounds at Miami Beach. Walker also fought a few matches in California. On May 21, 1975, Walker was defeated via Technical knockout in the eighth round against then undefeated Maurice "Termite" Watkins of a scheduled ten round fight at the Circle Star Theatre in San Carlos, California. Watkins at the time was undefeated in sixteen fights. To date, Leroy Walker's unofficial professional record was seven wins and four losses.
