Lem Barney (fullname: Lemuel Jackson Barney; no nicknames) played Defensive Back from 1967 until 1977 for the Detroit Lions. He played 140 games, intercepted 56 passes and recovered 17 fumbles. Born in Gulfport, MS on September 8, 1945, Barney stands 6'0 and weighs 188 lbs. He attended college at Jackson State. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 2nd round (34th overall) of the 1967 NFL Draft. Barney was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992, finalist in 1991.
