Lawrence Roberts is a professional basketball player currently playing with the Partizan Belgrade which is a Siberian professional basketball club. Roberts attended Baylor University for his college education in two seasons, and then in 2003 he was transferred to Mississippi State University that followed the Basketball Scandal, which was an incident which Baylor University was investigated for violation of National Collegiate Athletic Association Regulations. According to sources in the 2003–04 seasons he had an average of roughly seventeen points and ten rebounds in every game.
Roberts started his professional basketball career ion the National Basketball Association when he was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics. He was listed at 6 ft. 9 in. and 290 lbs. He was the second round draft pick of the team in the 2005 NBA Draft, but was later traded to the Memphis Grizzlies where Roberts officially signed a contract on July 10, 2005. Two seasons after with the Memphis Grizzlies, Roberts moved to Europe in July 2007 and signed on a two-year deal with the Olympiacos, a Greek professional basketball club. Though, sources say that he was released from his contract three months after. On September 18, 2008 Roberts signed a one-year contract with the Red Star Belgrade, a Siberia-based professional basketball club. And on October 21, 2009, Roberts signed a contract with Partizan Belgrade where he is currently lined up.

Lawrence Roberts (full name: Lawrence Edwards Roberts III; no nicknames) played Forward from 2006 until 2007 for the Memphis Grizzlies. Over 2 seasons, he played 87 games, scored 334 points (3.8 ppg) and grabbed 310 rebounds (3.6 rpg). Roberts also dished out 35 assists (0.4 apg), made 44 steals (0.5 spg), and blocked 15 shots (0.2 bpg) during his career. Born in Houston, Texas on October 20, 1982, Roberts stands 6-9 and weighs 240 lbs. He attended high school at Lamar in Houston, Texas and college at Mississippi State University. He was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in the 2nd round (25th pick, 55th overall) of the 2005 NBA draft.
