Larry French (full name: Lawrence Herbert French; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1932 until 1942 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Pirates from 1932 - 1934, Cubs from 1935 - 1941 and Dodgers from 1941 - 1942. Over 14 seasons, he started 383 games, won 197 games, struck out 1187 batters, and had a 3.44 ERA.
