Hi, Sam, thanks for taking the time to answer some questions about your site, CyclingHallOfFame.com. Let's start with finding out your background and what inspired you to launch this site?

I was a top ranked amateur in the US in the mid- 1980's and have followed cycling, especially since the tour De France from the early 1980's.

I was a top ranked amateur in the US in the mid- 1980's and have followed cycling, especially since the tour De France from the early 1980's.

That's great, you definately have to be passionate about the sport you spend time creating a site for. What do you feel is your point of differentiation from other cycling sites?

We are kind of the elite museum of cycling in that those accepted into the site are accepted only based on their results in a few races. We concentrate on historical comparisons of riders and races and rank their riders accordingly. We have biographes of all riders in the site (approximately 900 riders) and display daily birthdays of those in the Hall of Fame.

I see. How do you see your site evolving in a few years down the road? Are there any features you would like to implement which you haven't already or further cycling coverage you would like to include?

I think we've done a good job at hte Elite Men's Road aspect. There's been talk of expanding to include women's road and track for both men and women. The resources to do this would be great and we have not decided whether to do this or not, but it is a good idea.
