La Troy Hawkins is a pitcher in the Major League Baseball and is currently playing for the Milwaukee Brewers. Hawkins is from Gary, Indiana and was selected by the Minnesota Twins during the 1991 amateur draft. Hawkins played for the minor affiliates of the Twins for a total of four seasons before being called up in 1995. He was able to play full-time in the MLB only during the 1998 season. His best seasons with Minnesota came in 2000 and 2001 when he pitched 2.13 and 1.86 ERAs for each season respectively.

 

After becoming a free agent in 2003, Hawkins signed with the Chicago Cubs and was able to come up with 2.63 ERA while playing for the team. He was traded to the San Francisco Giants during the 2005 season. He was converted into a set-up pitcher but was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in 2005. After becoming a free agent by the end of the 2005 season, Hawkins signed with the Colorado Rockies.

 

Hawkins signed with the New York Yankees in December 2007 but was acquired by the Houston Astros in July 2008. In 2009, he signed a two-year contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
