Kyle Wright is an American pro football player who hailed from Danville, California. Wright turned pro athlete in 2008 after he was signed by the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League as an undrafted free agent, only to be waived by the Vikings on July 2 of that year. Five days after, on July 7, Wright was then claimed by the San Francisco 49ers where the also waived quarterback Drew Olson to make room.
Wight was however, unable to make his pro debut in the NFL. He spent his time in the league during offseason and as a member of practice squad. During his sophomore season, expectations for Wright were big; he was selected on the Preseason All-ACC team. Wright was also named to the Maxwell Award watch list, and was projected as a potential Heisman Trophy candidate. At the conclusion of his college football career, Wright's final statistics include thirty eight touchdowns and thirty one interceptions.
