Kris King (full name: Kris King; no nicknames) played left wing from 1988 until 2001 for the Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers, Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks. He played for the Red Wings from 1988 - 1989, Rangers from 1990 - 1993, Jets from 1993 - 1996, Coyotes in 1997, Leafs from 1998 - 2000 and Blackhawks in 2001. Over 14 seasons, he played 849 games, scored 66 goals, and made 85 assists. Born in Bracebridge, Ontario on February 18, 1966, King stands 5-11 and weighs 208 lbs. He was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 4th round (80th overall) of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. King officially announced retirement on December 3, 2000.
