Kirk Maltby (full name: Kirk Maltby; no nicknames) played right wing from 1994 until 2010 for the Edmonton Oilers and Detroit Red Wings. He played for the Oilers from 1994 - 1996 and Red Wings from 1996 - 2010. Over 16 seasons, he played 1072 games, scored 128 goals, and made 132 assists. Born in Guelph, Ontario on December 22, 1972, Maltby stands 6-0 and weighs 195 lbs. He was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 3rd round (65th overall) of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. Maltby officially announced retirement on October 12, 2010.
