Kirk Hinrich is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association and is currently playing for the Chicago Bulls. Hinrich is a starting guard for the team. Hinrich is from Sioux City, Ohio and was able to play for the USA National Team during the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan where the team was able to bring home the bronze medal.
While playing basketball in his high school, Hinrich was under the tutelage of his very own father. Other than basketball, Hinrich also played football and baseball. During his senior year in high school, Hinrich was able to lead his team to the State Championships.
Hinrich decided to attend the University of Kansas and played with the Jayhawks. For his first year in college, Hinrich became the recipient of the Clyde Lovellette Most Improved Player award and was selected into the second team of the AP All-Big 12.
During the 2003 NBA draft, Hinrich was selected by the Chicago Bulls during the first round of the draft. For his rookie year in the NBA, Hinrich was able to clinch the MVP and the Player of the Year awards of for the team and was named into the first team of that season’s All-Rookie team.

He attended high school at Sioux City West in Sioux City, Iowa and college at University of Kansas. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1st round (7th pick, 7th overall) of the 2003 NBA draft.
