About Kevin Williams Memorabilia & Collectibles
Kevin Williams is an American professional football player currently playing as defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings. He was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and took his college education and played football collegiately as well when he attended the Oklahoma State University. He began his pro football career when he was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings during the round one of the 2003 NFL Draft. During his rookie season in 2003, Williams was one of the top impact defenders in the Viking’s history and led the team with ten sacks.
Williams had an impressive feat during the 2007 seasons during their NFL Kickoff game against the Atlanta Falcons when he intercepted Joey Harrington and ran 54 yards for a touchdown. Williams received a four game suspension on December 2, 2008 for an alleged use of a diuretic, which is usually used as masking agent for the use of performance enhancing drugs such as steroids. Sources say that it was believed that the diuretic was found in a weight-loss supplement that he had been taking. Williams received numerous career highlights the following seasons after his rookie year, being named a five time Pro Bowl selection and five time All-Pro selection First-Team, and four time All-NFC Selection.
