Kevin McCarthy (full name: Kevin McCarthy; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1978 until 1987 for the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks and Pittsburgh Penguins. He played for the Flyers from 1978 - 1987, Canucks from 1979 - 1984 and Penguins from 1984 - 1985. Over 10 seasons, he played 537 games, scored 67 goals, and made 191 assists. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 14, 1957, McCarthy stands 5-11 and weighs 195 lbs. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1st round (17th overall) of the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft.
