He played for the Brewers from 1973 - 1976 and Mets from 1978 - 1980. Over 6 seasons, he started 64 games, won 18 games, struck out 205 batters, and had a 3.88 ERA. Born on October 2, 1953 in Buffalo, NY, Kobel stands 6' 0" and weighs 180 lb. He attended St. Francis (Colden, NY) high school and was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 10th round of the 1971 amateur draft. His debut was on September 8, 1973 and he played his final game on June 7, 1980. Common misspellings of his name include Kevin Kevin Richard Kobel.
