He was a 17th overall pick and many believed that he had his finest seasons in the national league with this team. His brother, Derian Hatcher, is also a former hockey player who made his way in NHL.
In his 17 seasons in NHL, he played for the Washington Capitals, the Carolina Hurricanes, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the New York Rangers and the Dallas Stars. He played in the league until 2001 and has appeared in 1, 157 games with 227 goals scored and made 450 assists. He had 1,392 penalty minutes in his entire career.
Industry experts say his most excellent season as an offense was the 1992-1993 season, where made 34 goals and scored 79 points. These score were the highest in his entire career.
