 Kevin Foster was a professional baseball player who became active in the Major League Baseball from 1993 to 2004. His professional career was jumpstarted when he decided to play for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1993. He made his MLB debut in September of the same year. This pitcher batted and threw using his right hand.

 

Foster was traded to the Chicago Cubs in the 1994 season. With the Cubs, he was able to help defeat the Chicago White Sox in what would be the franchise’s first. Coincidentally, Foster was born in Evanston, Illinois. He was released in 1998 and decided to play for the Texas Rangers in 2001. He also played for the St. Paul Saints in the Northern League in the 2003 to 2004 season. Kevin Foster decided to retire after the 2004 season with the St. Paul Saints. Foster died of renal cancer on October 11, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Kevin Foster (full name: Kevin Christopher Foster; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1993 until 2001 for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and Texas Rangers. He played for the Phillies in 1993, Cubs from 1994 - 1998 and Rangers in 2001. Over 7 seasons, he started 83 games, won 32 games, struck out 417 batters, and had a 4.86 ERA. Born on January 13, 1969 in Evanston, IL, Foster stood 6' 1" and weighed 160 lb. He attended Evanston Township (Evanston Township, IL) high school and was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 29th round of the 1987 amateur draft. His debut was on September 12, 1993 and he played his final game on August 21, 2001. Over his career, Foster made $2,313,000. Common misspellings of his name include Kevin Christopher Kevin Foster.
