James Kent Hull is a retired professional football player who appeared in the National Football League for the Buffalo Bills. Born on January 13, 1960 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, he played as a football varsity athlete at Mississippi State University from 1979 to 1982. He started playing for the United States Football League in 1983 as an offensive lineman. In the said league, he played for the New Jersey Generals. In the National Football League, he spent 121 consecutive games for the Buffalo Bills. In his eight seasons with the said team, he enjoyed great victories and reviews say he was on of the best players the Bills had. He won four American Football Conference titles and served as the team captain for the Bills for seven years. Hull won three Pro Bowl championships in 1988, 1989 and 1990. He was also part of the team’s four Super Bowl games from 1991 to 1994. Because of his remarkable contributions to the Buffalo Bills, he was named to the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 1997. Hull was also elected to the Mississippi State University Sports Hall of Fame in 2000 and was given the Ralph C. Wilson Distinguished Service Award in 2001. In 2002, he was also named to the Wall of Fame at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
