About Kendall Gill Memorabilia & Collectibles

  

Kendall Gill is a professional boxer. He also works as a sports analyst. Prior to all that, Gill played as professional basketball player. Gill works for the Comcast Sports Net and the Big Ten Network as their sports analyst. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended Rich Central High School. While in high school, Gill led his varsity team to the Class AA Boys Basketball Tournament finals and was even selected as part of the All-Tournament team. 

 

Gill attended the University of Illinois and went on to play in the 1989 Final Four for the Fighting Illini. He was the front runner in the Big Ten in points and became a first-team All-American. During his senior year, Gill won the Slam Dunk championship during the NCAA Final Four. 

 

In 1990, Gill became eligible to join the NBA Draft. He was selected by the Charlotte Hornets during the first round of the draft. He was the fifth overall pick for that year. During his first season in the NBA, Gill was named into the First-Team All-Rookie. Gill went on to play in the NBA for a total of 15 seasons. Other than the Hornets, he also played for the Seattle SuperSonics, New Jersey Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks.

Kendall Gill (full name: Kendall Cedric Gill; K.G.) played Guard from 1991 until 2005 for the Charlotte Hornets, Seattle Supersonics, New Jersey Nets, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks. Over 15 seasons, he played 966 games, scored 12914 points (13.4 ppg) and grabbed 4002 rebounds (4.1 rpg). Gill also dished out 2945 assists (3.0 apg), made 1519 steals (1.6 spg), and blocked 432 shots (0.4 bpg) during his career. Born in Chicago, Illinois on May 25, 1968, Gill stands 6-5 and weighs 195 lbs. He attended high school at Rich Central in Olympia Fields, Illinois and college at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1st round (5th pick, 5th overall) of the 1990 NBA draft.
