Ken Stabler was born in Foley, Alabama on December 25, 1945. He played formerly with the University of Alabama College football team as a quarterback.
He joined his college football team in the season of 1964. Ken Stabler was a successful player in his team. He played a very big contribution when they won the Sugar Bowl in 1966. Stabler was able to win a perfect record of 11-0.
Ken Stabler’s National Football League career had put his name in many of the football fan’s minds. He was first drafted in the 1968 NFL Draft in the second round pick. He was able to record his first mark in the season of 1972 playoff game in NFL. In the seasons of 1974 and 1976, he was named to be an AFC Player of the year and at the same year of 1976, he was honored to be the NFL’s passing champion. In 1980, he was traded for
Dan Pastorini in the
Houston Oilers. He played formerly with the Oakland Raiders from 1970 to 1979 and from 1980 to 1984 with the
Orleans Saints. His career in the NFL ended with a three year stint with his previous team. Ken Stabler won 4 Pro Bowls and was awarded as the 1976 Bert Bell Awardee. His honors also included the NLF 1970s All Decade Team.
