About Kellen Winslow Jr. Memorabilia & Collectibles
Kellen Winslow is an American professional football athlete currently playing as tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He was born in San Diego, California and took his college studies at the University of Miami. Winslow’s pro football career began when he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. Winslow was projected to provide the Cleveland offense an immediate boost. Two games into his rookie season, however, Winslow suffered a broken leg. His leg injury kept him on the sidelines for the rest of the season after having only recorded five catches for fifty yards.
After he underwent two operations, Winslow was cleared to make a full and complete recovery in the 2005 season. However, Winslow suffered another accident while riding his motorcycle and was not able to play in 2005. In 2006 season opening game against the New Orleans Saints, Winslow recorded his first NFL touchdown, scoring on an eighteen yard pass from Charlie Frye. Winslow had a successful 2007 season, finishing with eighty two receptions for 1106 yards and five touchdowns and was named as a first alternate for the 2008 Pro Bowl on December 18. On February 27, 2009, Winslow was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
