Keith Rivers was born on May 5, 1986 in Lake Mary, Florida is an American football player currently in camp with the Cincinnati Bengals. He plays as a linebacker and his career in the National Football League began when the Bengals picked him in the draft for the 2008 NFL. He started playing amateur football when he was in college in Southern California.
During his early years, Keith Rivers was known as a letterman in football at his high school, the Lake Mary High School that is located at Lake Mary, Florida. His college career began when Ron Zo. ok, then serving as the coach of the University of the Florida urged him to pick his team. He chose the USC because of its reputation to produce good football players like Junior Seau, Chris Clairborne, and Willie McGinest. The coach of the USC gave him the nickname ‘the Shark’ for his aggressiveness in the field which is opposed by his polite and calm demeanor when he is not playing. When he began playing with the Bengals, he recorded eight tackles after his rookie season. His beginner year abruptly ceased when his jaw was injured. He was not able to play for the last games but he still managed to make a record of thirty seven tackles, a fumble and interception. When the season was over, he was named as the second best Defensive Rookie of the Year after Jerod Mayo.
