Born on February 3, 1970 who comes from Providence, Rhode Island, Keith Carney is a former professional ice hockey defenseman in the National Hockey League (NHL). He’s primarily chosen as the 76th overall in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. Since Carney has contended, he’s been named into several elite squads such as the 1988-1989 HE All-Rookie Team, the 1989-1990 HE Second All-Star Team, the 1989-1990 NCAA East Second All-American Team and among others. Furthermore, Carney has represented the Team USA in the 1998 Winter Olympics.

Keith Carney (full name: Keith Carney; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1992 until 2008 for the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Vancouver Canucks and Minnesota Wild. He played for the Sabres from 1992 - 1994, Blackhawks from 1994 - 1998, Coyotes from 1998 - 2001, Mighty Ducks from 2002 - 2006, Canucks in 2006 and Wild from 2007 - 2008. Over 16 seasons, he played 1018 games, scored 45 goals, and made 183 assists. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on February 3, 1970, Carney stands 6-1 and weighs 207 lbs. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 4th round (76th overall) of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft.
