Born in Muskegon, Michigan, Justin Abdelkader is a forward for the National hockey Leagueunder the Detroit Red Wings. Be was a fan of Pavel Bure of the Florida Panthers. Justin dreamed of being in the NHL and that dream came true in 1995. He was drafted into the NHL Entry in 2005 and has played against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Becasue of this he was deprived of the college eligibility for the 2008 season. The day after,he accepted a three-year contract with the Red Wings. This marks the hockey career of Justin Abdelkader. He  debuted his career in 2008 as part of the National Hockey League. For the first playoffs, he made 23 goals against the Grand Rapids Griffins. In the Western Conference against the Anaheim Ducks, he replaced Tomas Kopecky.  He had his first goal in the May 30, 2009 Stanley Cup Finals winning against the Pittburgh Penguins. He was also a representative of the United States for the IIHF World Junior Championship held in Sweden. He brought home a bronze medal for that game.
