Born on June 24, 1960, Juli Inkster is a professional golf player who appears on the LPGA Tour which is based in the United States. Hailing from Santa Cruz, California, she attended Harbor High School and finished college at San Jose State University. In college, he was named as an All-American for three consecutive years. She was also named as the Athlete of the Year in the university and was inducted to the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame.
She bagged 31 tournaments in the LPGA Tour and seven of those are major championships. She defeated Pat Bradley in the 1984 Nabisco Dinah Shore Tournament and achieved victory over Ayako Okamoto in the 1984 du Maurier Classic Tournament. She was able to play in the Solheim Cup for eight different years and gathered 18 points, which is the highest as of 2009. With Pat Hurst, she represented the United States at the Women’s World Cup of Golf in 2007.
Her seventh LPGA major championship title came in 2002 at the U.S. Women’s Open where she won over Annika Sorenstam of Sweden. She was inducted to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2000 and was named as the Sportswoman of the Year in 1999.
She has been included to the 2011 Solheim Cup team as an assistant captain.
