Juan Rivera is a professional baseball player who plays as an outfielder in the Major League Baseball. He started his majors career with the New York Yankees which signed him as a free agent and assigned him to the minors starting the 1986 season. He played there until the 2001 season when he made his debut in the Major League Baseball. His first game came on September 4, 2001 and reviews say he had a great start and showed many skills during his first season.

 

After a great start with the New York Yankees, he was traded to the Montreal Expos with which he recorded .307 batting average and scored 12 home runs for the 2004 season.

 

Together with Maicer Izritus, he was traded to the Los Angeles of Anaheim from the 2004 season. With the Angels, he played as an outfielder and sometimes functions as a designated hitter. He showed continued improvement in the team with 25 home runs scored in 2009.

 

Aside from his appearances in the Major League Baseball, he also played in the World Baseball Classic for the Venezuelan Team. As of July 2010, he holds a career record of .281 batting average and 400 runs batted in with 107 home runs.
