Juan Eichelberger (full name: Juan Tyrone Eichelberger; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1978 until 1988 for the San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians and Atlanta Braves. He played for the Padres from 1978 - 1982, Indians in 1983 and Braves in 1988. Over 7 seasons, he started 79 games, won 26 games, struck out 281 batters, and had a 4.10 ERA. Born on October 21, 1953 in St. Louis, MO, Eichelberger stands 6' 2" and weighs 195 lb. He attended Balboa (San Francisco, CA) high school and was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 1st round (19th pick) of the 1975 amateur draft (January Secondary).
