Josh Howard is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. Currently, Howard is playing for the Washing Wizards as the team’s small forward or shooting guard. Howard is a starter for the team. Howard, who was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, went to Glenn High School and was a recipient of the Frank Spencer Award for two instances.
Howard decided to play for Wake Forest during his college days. He was named into the second team of the All-ACC selection and into the third team during his sophomore and junior year respectively. He was able to graduate from Wake Forest with a degree in Sociology. Before graduating, Howard was named as the ACC Player of the Year, and into the AP First Team of the All-American selection.
In the 2003 NBA draft, Howard was made a first round selection by the Dallas Mavericks. He was able to gain attention during the 2004 season. During his first season in the NBA, Howard was named into the second team of the NBA All-Rookie selection. During the 2005 season, Howard was able to average 15.6 ppg and helped the team get to the finals. Howard was named into the 2007 All-Star selection and was traded to the Washington Wizards in 2010.

Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on April 28, 1980, Howard stands 6-7 and weighs 210 lbs. He attended high school at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia and college at Wake Forest University. He was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1st round (29th pick, 29th overall) of the 2003 NBA draft.
