Josef Beranek (full name: Josef Beranek; no nicknames) played left wing/center from 1992 until 2001 for the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks and Pittsburgh Penguins. He played for the Oilers from 1992 - 2000, Flyers from 1993 - 1995, Canucks from 1995 - 1996 and Penguins from 1997 - 2001. Over 9 seasons, he played 531 games, scored 118 goals, and made 144 assists. Born in Litvinov, Czechoslovakia on October 25, 1969, Beranek stands 6-2 and weighs 195 lbs. He was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 4th round (78th overall) of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft.
