Jose Oquendo (full name: Jose Manuel (Contreras) Oquendo; Secret Weapon) played second baseman, shortstop and rightfielder from 1983 until 1995 for the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Mets from 1983 - 1984 and Cardinals from 1986 - 1995. Over 12 seasons, he played 1190 games, hit 14 home runs, drove in 339 runs, and stole 35 bases. Born on July 4, 1963 in Rio Piedras, P.R., Oquendo stands 5' 10" and weighs 160 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on May 2, 1983 and he played his final game on September 29, 1995.
