Jon Ritchie is a former player in the National Football League who hails from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He had his high school football experience at Cumberland Valley High School and has established records for the team in the 1992 season for the state championship. He played a significant role for the team’s victory in that game.

 

After his high school career, he played at University of Michigan and logged 120 yards at 13 yards. After two years with the university, he played at the Stanford University as a linebacker but was eventually converted into a fullback. In that university, he made 95 yards and had nine passes for 80 yards.

 

His career in the National Football League began in 1998 for the Oakland Raiders. He was a 63rd overall pick in the National Football League Draft and spent his first five seasons as a professional player with the Raiders. He was part of the team’s appearance in the Super Bowl XXXVII. After playing for the raiders, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. With his second team, he was also able to play in the Super Bowl XXXIX.

 

After retiring from professional football play, he worked as a broadcaster for the National Football League Europa. He ended his career with a total of 150 receptions and had seven touchdowns. He also logged a total of 1, 184 total yards.

He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the 3rd round (63rd overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft.
