John Junior Roseboro was a professional baseball player for the Major League Baseball from Ashland, Ohio. He threw right- handed and batted left- handed.

Roseboro started his professional career playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers. His first appearance in a game as a player was on June 14, 1957 against the St. Louis Cardinals. He has 3 World Series titles with the Dodgers in his win column; one in 1959 against the Chicago White Sox, another in 1963 against the New York Yankees, and another in 1965 against the Minnesota Twins. His team was also part of the 1966 World Series against the Baltimore Orioles which the Dodgers lost. He was a 6- time All- Star selection, and 2-time Gold Glove recipient. He also spent some time playing for the Minnesota Twins and Washington Senators before appearing in his final game as a player in 1970 against the Minnesota Twins. He then coached the Washington Senators, California Angels, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and some minor league teams. Roseboro has a lifetime batting average record of .249 with 104 home runs and 548 runs batted in. He died on August 16, 2002 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 69.
