Johnny Rizzo (full name: John Costa Rizzo; no nicknames) played outfielder from 1938 until 1942 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds and Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Pirates from 1938 - 1940, Phillies from 1940 - 1941, Reds in 1940 and Dodgers in 1942. Over 5 seasons, he played 557 games, hit 61 home runs, drove in 268 runs, and stole 7 bases. Born on July 30, 1912 in Houston, TX (All Transactions), Rizzo stood 6' 0" and weighed 190 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 19, 1938 and he played his final game on September 25, 1942. Over his career, Rizzo made $17,500.
