Johnny Klippstein (full name: John Calvin Klippstein; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1950 until 1967 for the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Redlegs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers. He played for the Cubs from 1950 - 1954, Redlegs from 1955 - 1958, Dodgers from 1958 - 1959, Indians in 1960, Senators in 1961, Reds in 1962, Phillies from 1963 - 1964, Twins from 1964 - 1966 and Tigers in 1967. Over 18 seasons, he started 161 games, won 101 games, struck out 1158 batters, and had a 4.24 ERA. Born on October 17, 1927 in Washington, DC, Klippstein stood 6' 1" and weighed 173 lb.
