Johnny Hopp (full name: John Leonard Hopp; Cotney) played outfielder and first baseman from 1939 until 1952 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers. He played for the Cardinals from 1939 - 1945, Braves from 1946 - 1947, Pirates from 1948 - 1950, Dodgers in 1949, Yankees from 1950 - 1952 and Tigers in 1952. Over 14 seasons, he played 1393 games, hit 46 home runs, drove in 698 runs, and stole 128 bases. Born on July 18, 1916 in Hastings, NE, Hopp stood 5' 10" and weighed 170 lb.
