Johnny Broaca (full name: John Joseph Broaca; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1934 until 1939 for the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Yankees from 1934 - 1937 and Indians in 1939. Over 5 seasons, he started 86 games, won 44 games, struck out 258 batters, and had a 4.08 ERA. Born on October 3, 1909 in Lawrence, MA, Broaca stood 5' 11" and weighed 190 lb. He attended Phillips Andover Academy (Andover, MA) high school. His debut was on June 2, 1934 and he played his final game on September 23, 1939. Common misspellings of his name include John Joseph jonny jonnie johny Johnny johnnie johney john johhny Broaca.
